FOOT AND HAND CARE

FOOT AND HAND CARE
Light Feet
Even if the skin of the feet is 10 times thicker than that of the face, it is not a reason not to maintain it! Start with a foot bath of about ten minutes that will allow you to relax. In a bowl filled with warm water, add a few drops of mild soap. For an ultra-moisturizing bath, try this homemade recipe: mix 5 drops of neroli essential oil and 3 tbsp. (45 ml) olive oil, pour into a bowl of hot water and ... relax for 15 minutes
Once your feet are dry (remember the area between the toes to avoid fungal infections and fungi), use a pumice stone to remove calluses. The removal of dead skin and rough heels is done by exfoliation. Among our favorites: Nu Nature's Foot Scrub, Olay's Foot Thermal Care, Vichy's Podexine Kérato-Reducer Scrub

The nails are cut relatively short and one ends with a file. Be careful, however, not to file too much on the sides to avoid ingrown nails

Once the cuticles are repelled, the feet are coated with a mask or moisturizer. For a really deep care, cover your feet with plastic wrap and put on socks that you will keep for as long as possible, ideally all night

Velvet hands
They shoot, push, rub, caress, and the rest! We use our hands to heart day. Their epidermis contains few sebaceous glands, so they are naturally less hydrated than the rest of the body. To prevent premature aging, it is important to give them special care

First, one of the worst enemies of dry hands is water! Make sure to always dry them and, why not, put on gloves to do the dishes and housework, to garden and tinker

Start the treatment with a gentle soap cleaning, avoiding very hot water that dries more. Our choice: Dove Deep Moisturizing Nourishing Cleanser. Then, an exfoliation, a mask or a scrub will eliminate dead skin

For a nice relaxation, massage your hands using sweet almond oil. Press the thumbs intensely in the palms and complete by compressing each finger slightly, from the palm to the end of the nails. Wrapping your hands with an emollient cream will ensure complete hydration. If you do your homework before going to bed, put on cotton gloves for extra power
Homemade manicure
Dip nails and cuticles first for five minutes in a warm water bath in which you have added two drops of lavender essential oil. Its antibacterial properties will disinfect the nail bed. Then, push back the cuticles with a stick, a cotton swab or a simple wet washcloth. Then, file your nails with an emery paper. Avoid the metal file whose hard surface damages the nails. One lime on the side toward the center, rather than in a movement of back and forth which involves a duplication of the nail

To be in perfect health, it is recommended to moisturize the nails every day, ideally in the evening, before going to bed. Several oils promoting the regeneration and elasticity of the nail while strengthening it are available on the market. You can also try this little homemade trick: mix 1 tbsp. 5 ml honey and 1 tsp. (5 ml) olive oil, sunflower oil or wheat germ. Dip the fingertips into this potion while massaging nails and cuticles. Then put on gloves or cotton socks for the night *. Finally, to strengthen the nails, rub them with a cotton soaked in lemon juice

If you do not like to color your nails, use a treating care to keep them hard and healthy. Are you of the varnish type? Apply a base coat first to extend the coat. For a perfect color, apply two coats and finish with a top coat to seal the color and shine

Finally, if your nails are soft, brittle and they split, know that the use of solvents acetone varnish is not recommended because they dry the nails. To advise: Christian Dior's Gentle Remover which, without attacking the nails, helps to rehydrate them
